Biography
Flora studied for a year at the Michaelis School of Art in CapeTown and then went on to complete a degree in Printmaking at the Glasgow School of Art, using etching as a base from which to create sculptural and installation pieces often using fabric.

The Residency
"It allowed me the time and space to focus on my work at a pivotal moment in my short career! It is such a calm and beautiful environment, my time at Regents Court was incredibly productive. I met wonderful people. Photographer Justin Smith was staying at the hotel and pointed me in the direction of textiles printers 'think positive' which was fantastic as I had just arrived from the UK and didn't have any contacts. Inspiration and hilarious conversations with staff and guests on the beautiful roof in the evenings - when I look back it seems like a dream!"



I finished the parachute at Megalo in Canberra on a 6 week residency www.megalo.org and it was exhibited at the Global Gallery as part of a group show just before I returned to the UK."
