The Residency
"I was once fortunate enough to spend 3 months as an artist in residence at Regents court in Potts Point. The main things I remember were the sunsets up on the rooftop with the hose, watering all those thirsty little plants. And the songs I had come here to write in my head while I wondered around the colourful community of Potts Point/Kings Cross. I got a lot of work done. I was left to my own devices in room 3 where I set up a basic recording studio and quietly worked away on as many songs as I could. In almost all my recordings I made in that room you can overhear the bustle of the streets in there. For that I'm proud. Regents Court is an oasis in a sea of grinding gears. Thank you."
